Response from the owner:Jessie Holt, Mallory Holt (Roberts), and Audrey Holt, we're sorry to hear you claim to not have had a good experience with your local move to storage in anticipation for your move to Colorado. This is now your family's 4th attempt (on multiple sites) to slander our good name which stands in stark contrast to the 5-Star experience about which over 99% of our customers rave. Several of those very satisfied customers came to our defense after which your other posts were taken down for verifiably incorrect and false information. Please take accountability for your actions and their consequences, like a mature and civil adult, and move on. For the sake of context and additional transparency: despite several changes in itinerary, including a change in destination from CO to South Carolina with less than 2 weeks notice, since you went under contract with us for your interstate move we still did everything in our power, and during peak moving season while being booked out over a month, to provide you with an updated Binding Estimate for your move. It was unfortunate that the updated Binding Estimate turned out to be too much for your budget to the point that you cancelled your move with us. We understand that life's challenges can force a change of plans, and so we were willing to return 100% of your deposit, so long as you returned our property (110 furniture pads) that we had to place on your belongings in anticipation of delivering your shipment to CO. Unfortunately, when you decided not to return our property, that cost was deducted from your deposit per the moving agreement you signed. For those reading this that might be unaware, a lack of licensure and authorization is why some moving companies will provide lowball estimates (and often not Binding Estimates which provide consumer protection as the price will not change upon delivery (AKA Holding Hostage) because they did not, nor will they, incur costs to maintain compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Lastly, after coming into our office to retrieve your storage key and deposit refund, it was very unbecoming of you to throw the deposit refund check in their face whilst verbally and vulgarly insulting them. We are proud that our staff had the decency to take the check to another member of your family in the parking lot to make sure that you had what was rightfully yours, despite your abhorrent and disrespectful behavior that would be expected from someone in their teens, and not an elderly person. It is not surprising that this is your fourth attempt to slander our staff and company all because you did not like the result of not returning our property, or in other words, you did not like the consequences of your actions. We wish you and your family the best and hope that your move with the other company goes well, despite them not being licensed and authorized for Interstate HHG moves.
